madison’s first trip to the beach was amazing! we couldn’t have asked for a better day. 75, sunshine, a light breeze. small victories. and she doesn’t have a sunburn PHEW. i was petrified of this the entire time. so much so that i guess i forgot to put enough on MYSELF, and well Brian, he just always burns. this irish skin… we aren’t meant to be outdoors for more than a few hours. madison loved the water though, which i was shocked by. she did however hate the sand, which is exactly what i though would happen. she avoided it at all cost jumping from towel to blanket and tiptoeing across it when she had to. i mean lets be honest, sand is weird. i hate it also. and it gets everywhere. the packed sand down by the water she was more okay with. but her favorite thing seemed to be letting her feet get wet then holding onto her daddy for dear life when the current tried to carry her away. she found this hilarious. and her giggle is infectious. we were also grateful to spend the day with good friends. madison & hudson had another chaperoned date by their parents but still found ways to tackle each other, swap kisses, and even get naked together. kids these days… summer love is the air.
