so yup, that’s ME as a baby. looking like i was struck by lightening, or that someone recently rubbed a balloon at my head. but neither is the case, that is just my very special ‘au naturel’ hair. it was passed down from some amazing genes & a long line of great hair {insert sarcasm here} baby madison blame your grandparents. your grandma has the same hair as your mama & your grandpa is lacking any hair at all.

i had high hopes that madison would get brian’s hair. he has beautiful thick brown hair.  i imagine if he was a girl it would hang in gorgeous locks that never needed combing or curling. this was my dream for madison while everyone was telling me that she was his mini-me – i was aggravated at first & then i decided if she got his thick hair, his baby blues & his long eye lashes, she was sure to be a knock out when she was older. but today i sit here & i am staring at this photo & well dang. it looks like she’s getting her mama’s hair. brian has started calling her spike. i am sorry baby girl haha, hopefully we can tame it down a little in the future.

but this picture is special to me because my dad still carries it around in his wallet. it’s his favorite one of me & i think in some ways this is the face he sees when he looks at me even today.
