Kentucky Fried Christmas 2011

Our Christmas in Kentucky trip this year was a great time yet again! The only thing missing was Todd who got stuck in New Orleans for work. He was missed greatly. We spend Saturday at the cabins on Barren River lake as usual. My parents got married there 29 years ago so it is a special place for them especially. This year we searched & searched for the tree they carved their name into on their wedding day & we found it! They were too cute out there in the cold searching for this tree. It’s inspiring to see them so in love after all these years. They are a great example for Brian & I and our life together.

The boys had a great time too. I think Leif & Brian are best friends after a few nerf gun fights and playing catch. Watching him with my nephews makes me realize how great of a father he is going to be. I just sit back and smile to see him just being a kid and having fun & I am so grateful I ended up with such a great man. I can’t for that next chapter of our lives. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the weekend.
